HOMAGE TO TOM JOBIM
Brazilian Bossa Nova

Tom Jobim, internationally renowned for writing The Girl from Ipanema, was the creator with João Gilberto of the uniquely Brazilian musical style bossa nova. In this performance, four of Brazil’s most talented musicians will convene at the outdoor John Anson Ford Amphitheatre to pay homage to Jobim on the 10th anniversary of his death. Musicians, Armandinho, Paulo Moura, Gabriel Improta, and Robertinho Silva come together to offer a rich instrumental interpretation of Jobim’s music on mandolin, guitar, clarinet, and percussion. This event is part of the John Anson John Anson Ford Amphitheatre Summer Concert Series.

Concert presented by Brazilian Nites Productions. Sponsored by Varig Brazilian Airlines, Pelourinho.com; REMO Inc., Dish Network; Jet Blue, and Radiovisa 8.30AM, www.homenagematomjobim.com.
