Community-building takes center stage at this city landmark and spiritual center. Stately and dignified, the Westminster Presbyterian Church comes alive in a soulful synthesis of traditions. Using music to create fellowship between people, the Gwen Wyatt Chorale invites the Persian group Liän Ensemble to perform in this part of the city for the city for the first time. The celebrated Liän Ensemble has had a profound impact on Persian music, introducing the world to a plethora of new compositions. Their program features original work and improvisations that draw on Persian classical music, Sufi poetry and postmodern Jazz.

Returning to the Festival for the third time, the multi-ethnic Gwen Wyatt Chorale excels in its interpretations of traditional spirituals and contemporary gospel music of jubilation and liberation. The Chorale has performed this t American tradition of spirituals for Pope John Paul II in Vatican City, in Cathedrals in Eastern Europe, at concert venues in Israel, Spain, Austria, Hungary, and Czech Republic.
