In spiritual traditions, “intention” is developed as a fundamental guide along the path. Yuval Ron has always been “intentional” in using music as a way to illuminate common ground and build bridges between the Arab and Jewish world. The Yuval Ron Ensemble, performing Mystical Music of the Middle East, unites sacred musical traditions of Judaism, Sufism (Islamic mystical tradition) and the Christian Armenian Church in an evening of healing and transcendence. Composer and world-music record producer Yuval Ron explores the mystical teachings of these cultures and their deep inter-cultural connections. The concert is elevated with songs of Sufi origin from Turkey, Jewish prayers from Morocco, Yemen and Israel and Armenian chants. The ensemble brings together artists from Israel, Lebanon, Armenia, Iran, France and the USA. The result is an expansive and transformative exchange that provides a source of inspiration for the musicians.
