Rangoli Festival of Indian Music and Dance
Playing an explicit and creative role as both guru and performer, visionary artistic director Malathi Iyengar of the Rangoli Foundation puts together two exhilarating evenings of music and dance resplendent with the passion and spirituality of Indian culture. Bringing together artists from India and the United States, the performances include new and classic works, including Dancers Like ME, featuring second generation Indian-American artists; a concert of classical Indian music, Aarohi-Avarohi; Sacred Geometry, with Iyengar and the Rangoli Dance Company; and guest choreographers Linda Gold and Nzingha Camara. Two Performances: Saturday, September 21 at 6 PM and Sunday, September 22 at 4 PM
