Performing
traditional music of Macedonia on acoustic guitars, Vlatko
Stefanovski and Miroslav Tadic are two of Eastern
Europe's most innovative and improvisational guitarists. The
title of the their program, Krushevo, refers to a beautiful
old Macedonian town high in the mountains. The piece draws
from the musicians' deep and diverse musical experiences to
create a highly innovative blend of flamenco, blues and jazz,
which bears witness to the rich, mysterious, and deeply emotional
traditional music of that land. A presentation of the Carpenter
Performing Arts Center.
