In a whirlwind of mystical music and dance, flutist and wind instrumentalist Suzanne Teng & Mystic Journey featuring percussionist Gilbert Levy and special guests Prince Diabaté (kora, vocals) and Lexi Pearl’s MoMomentum Dancers create a fusion of musical styles from around the world. Ethereal, ecstatic, ancient and modern musics interweave in this alchemy of dreams from far off places. The ensemble features Fritz Heede on flamenco guitar, sitar, saz and mandolin and Barry Newton on string bass. Additional guest artists are Andrew Werderitsch/didgeridoo; Malik Sow/African percussion; Armen Chakmakian/keyboards and Ray Yslas/Latin and world percussion. In the second half of the program, the Naser Musa-Adam del Monte Ensemble performs contemporary Arab, flamenco and crossover Sephardic music, featuring guest dancer Laila del Monte, with Naser Musa on oud and vocals and Adam del Monte on flamenco guitar.
