33 Bowls, Tibetan singing bowls
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7
Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Cost: Freewill offering; no reservations required.
Soulful discovery unfolds as Ann Licater and Hans of 33 Bowls provide a contemplative soundscape for self reflection. Featuring solo performances of original compositions and inspired improvisations on Native American world flutes and antique Tibetan singing bowls, Ann and Hans encourage introspective thoughts as the sounds from their ancient instruments resonate in one of the city’s most sacred spaces.
Ann Licater is an award-winning recording artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. She performs on more than a dozen hand-crafted, indigenous Native American and world flutes made of wood and clay. With the healing sound vibrations from her ancient instruments, she facilitates Flute for the Soul workshops. Hans of 33 Bowls produces high-resolution sound recordings for mindfulness, meditation, relaxation, yoga and massage. His minimalist approach, coupled with the complex harmonies of pitch-matched instruments, produce deep, meditative states in the hearts and minds of listeners.
In addition to provided seating, limited floor space is available. Bring your own blankets, pads, and pillows.
